Welcome back to Herstory.
They promise us that 2026 will be the "Year of Social Development," but for many of us, it has merely been another year of uncertainty and even more alarming danger we face as Nigerian women. Between the headlines from Ozoro and the "Special Seats" bill being stepped down yet again, it’s easy to feel like our safety and our seats are always up for debate.
But this season isn't just about the battle; it's about the bridge. We’re sitting down with our mothers and women doing the hard work of saving girls and women from a world bent on subduing them.
We ask the hard questions: How did you find your joy when the system didn't see you? How did you keep your head up when they tried to step you down? How do we fight back and make a difference?
If we’re going to build a future where our rights aren't just on paper, we need the blueprints from the women who came before us and those who know better.
I’m Anu Onabolu, and this is Season Two. Let’s stop just surviving and start documenting the revolution.
Pull up a seat. We have a lot to talk about.
